Have you ever considered having lemon juice on your face for an acne treatment? Acne has been the bane of many a teenager’s existence from the beginning of time. Treating and curing it has even been more of a challenge because it seems that no one can completely nail down the exact cause for this horrendous affliction. Something that has cropped up in research through the years is that breakouts are related to hormones more than anything else.

Even worse, there seem to be very few remedies on the market that work for everyone. You’ve probably seen those long television commercials advertising the product Proactive. Maybe it’s performed miracles for all of those celebrities that promote it or maybe it hasn’t, but it does seem to have worked for enough people that the company is still in business. The problem is that it’s a very expensive product which not everyone can afford.

There are prescriptions that dermatologists can write for their patients, but again, these are very costly, plus you have to pay for the doctor’s visit. In recent years, there have been studies which show that some of these drugs are actually dangerous with long term life threatening health issues. The creams and ointments prescribed can often cause severe drying of the skin.

Lemon Juice Acne Treatment

Due to all of the problems with traditional medications, many people are turning in another direction for acne healing. This direction takes them right into their kitchens. Something that’s been coming to the public’s attention is the miracle of lemon juice acne treatment and its healing effects on acne. While it may be something you haven’t thought of, using lemon for acne healing has been in use for quite some time.

The first question you’ll probably have is does lemon juice help acne? Many people who have tried it swear that it does. In using lemon juice for acne, there are some good reasons why it is effective: lemon juice contains both vitamin C and potassium that will boost your immune system. A healthy immune system is vital to the prevention of acne. Another huge benefit is the Alpha Hydroxy Acids, or AHA, that lemons contain. These are citric acids known for fighting acne.

Lemon juice for acne also keeps your skin healthy while preventing many other common skin problems. The lemon juice acne cure can provide very positive results by getting rid of old skin cells. This promotes the growth of new skin cells while also improving the elasticity of your skin.

How to Use the Lemon Juice Acne Cure

When using lemon juice for acne, you can either apply the juice directly on the acne or you can drink it.

If you choose to use the topical application, such as when using lemon juice for pimples, first wash your face thoroughly. Squeeze about one teaspoon of lemon or lime juice into a little bowl. Take a ball of cotton and saturate it with the juice. Now, apply it to the acne. If the juice burns your face, dilute it with a little bit of water. Let it set overnight and rinse the next morning. For sensitive skin, leave it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Follow this regimen for about two weeks for best results.

There are two ways to drink the lemon juice for acne cure. One is to mix lemon juice with 2 cups of water and sip on it through the day. It’s also possible to add fresh lemon juice to warm water. Drink this in the morning and don’t eat or drink anything for 30 minutes afterward. Either of these methods works great to internally cleanse the body while absorbing all of the essential nutrients and vitamins.

Obviously, using both of the lemon juice for acne cures is the best idea. If you use both of them simultaneously, you should see definite results within 3 weeks.

Does lemon juice help acne scars or does lemon juice get rid of acne scars? It’s pretty well documented by now that lemon juice and acne treatments work quite well for many sufferers. What’s not as commonly known is the effect of lemon juice on acne scars. Believe it or not, using lemon for acne scars can be a highly effective way of fading them. Not only is it an effective alternative treatment, but it’s much less expensive than other methods.

Why Lemon for Acne Scars Works

L-ascorbic acid is a natural ingredient in lemons. This is a highly effective way of treating unsightly scars left from severe acne. Acne comes from bacteria growing in small pores in the skin. The acid in the lemon juice kills and removes the acne causing bacteria. That’s why it works in treating acne. In fact, L-ascorbic acid is so effective that many over the counter treatments for acne also contain it. This same acid will go a long way in fading the scars.

Using Lemon Juice for Acne Scars

When you use lemon juice for acne scars, it’s a lot like using it to treat acne itself. First of all, use a good antibacterial soap to wash your face thoroughly. Pat it dry with a soft towel. Using a small bowl, squeeze lemon juice into it. Take a cotton ball to saturate with the lemon juice. Put a thin layer of the juice over your face. Once the juice is dry, leave it on overnight and rinse with water the next morning.

You should repeat this process several days in a row. This thin mask can even be used under makeup, if you want. To get an even look, try applying the lemon juice to your entire face rather than the problem areas only. Lemon juice on scars may have a mild lightening effect so you need to make sure that the fading is even. You don’t want your face having some areas faded and brighter in others.

Some people experience a mild burning sensation and it’s usually tolerable. However, if the burning is too severe for you, add a bit of water to the lemon juice before putting it on your face. This will dilute the juice and should also take care of the burning. On the other hand, if you get a painful burning sensation each time you apply the juice to your face, it may be due to an allergy so you’ll want to find another way to get rid of your acne scars.

If you want to use lemon juice on acne scars as sort of a spot treatment, use the same mixture and just dab it on the scarred areas. Let it set for about 10 minutes. Do this once or twice daily until you begin to see an improvement. As the juice will make your skin very sensitive from using it so often, you’re going to need a great sunblock when going out in the sun.

Something else you may consider is that there’s a lime juice acne treatment that can also work the same as lemons. Just use the lime juice in the same way as you would lemon juice. The effect should be very similar.

What Is Baby Acne?

Little will worry a parent more than seeing their newborn suffering with a skin condition such as baby acne. However, before we can begin to treat this skin condition we need to learn a little more about it. What causes baby acne? Is it dangerous? Will it permanently scar my baby’s delicate skin?

First and foremost, remain calm. Your baby will not react well to a frantic parent!

Baby acne is a common occurrence and as many as 1 in 5 new born babies acquire it during the first few months of their lives. There are two varieties of baby acne.

Acne on a newborn baby between 1 and 4 weeks old is known as neonatal acne. Acne that affects infants between the age of 2 and 18 months is called infantile acne.

Baby acne is usually found on your baby’s cheeks, chin, forehead and sometimes on the back. It presents itself as small pimples surrounded by a ring of pinkish skin. You may notice that the symptoms worsen during prolonged bouts of crying or when your child is overly warm and clammy.

Baby Acne Or Rash?

Baby acne is commonly confused with rashes and other more serious skin conditions. One way to determine whether your child is suffering from a rash such as milia is to examine the location. Baby acne only affects your baby’s face so finding pimples elsewhere will generally suggest it isn’t acne.

Crusting is another factor to watch for as mild eczema is known to ooze, crust over and flake off usually resulting in considerable discomfort.

Baby Acne Treatments

Unlike other, more serious skin conditions, leaving a mild case of baby acne is the best form of treatment. Your baby’s skin is incredibly sensitive and cleansing too vigorously will do more harm than good and could lead to further irritations. Aside from the cosmetic appearance, moderate baby acne is completely harmless to your child’s wellbeing.

In extreme cases or when you are advised by a qualified doctor you may be required to apply topical medications and ointments. Please adhere strictly to the doctors specifications as these medicines are often harsh when liberally applied.

Baby Acne Remedies and Prevention

Preventing the onset of baby acne is a surprisingly simple procedure. Firstly, cleanse your baby’s skin twice daily with a fragrance free cleanser using a soft cloth and warm water. Again, be careful not to rub the skin too vigorously.

It is a common misconception that any acne outbreak on your infant’s skin should be treated with over the counter medications and specialized ointments. This of course is a fallacy, the best remedy for a baby acne outbreak is time and patience.

Stick to the guidelines above and your bouncing bundle of joy will be back to her smiley self before you’re able to pull a face and make gurgling noises!

Baby acne on the face and back of your new born isn’t a cause for concern.

Using Herbs & Other Natural Remedies To Aid Your Body In Its Fight Against Zits

Homeopathic acne treatments have been popular as long as people have had acne, and who knows, perhaps in eras gone by in distant lands certain people’s had even better knowledge about herbs and other natural remedies…in fact, that is probably the case but we will never know for sure.

Thankfully though, a few modern herbalists in the east and in the west have preserved a good portion of ancient knowledge and wisdom about homeopathic acne treatment, despite the often times intrusive encroachment of the FDA and the modern mainstream medical community.

It’s important to note that a homeopathic acne treatment works with your body, aiding your body in its fight against the acne infection. That’s what acne is in actuality — an infection — a bacterial infection of the skin.

There are a few different causes but it generally occurs when our immune system is weakened through poor diet, environmental toxins, food allergies, the overuse of antibiotics, and even too much stress.

What happens is that our body’s hormones are thrown out of balance, causing our oil glands to secrete excess oil, and this excess oil creates a breeding ground for bacteria on our skin to infect our defenseless hair follicles.

Once the acne cycle has begun, it can be difficult to correct.

Homeopaths believe that we must start at the beginning and remove the toxins, food allergies, poor food choices, antibiotics, and stress. In doing so we give our body a chance to heal itself, we boost our immunity, and our glands and hormones come back into balance and the infection clears itself up.

There are many homeopathic acne treatments to use; any natural treatment that rids the body of toxic material, reduces bodily inflammation, balances our hormones, and improves the balance between our internal “good” bacteria and “bad” bacteria will begin to cure our acne condition gradually.

Homeopaths often believe that their methods are superior to conventional methods because conventional methods are said to mask the symptoms of acne with not providing a real cure. This may indeed be the case, because patients that “go off” of traditional medications like antibiotics and topical creams will almost always see a resurgence in acne breakouts after they terminate treatment.

Of course natural methods for acne control take a little work as well and you have to stick with them in order for them to truly work. In addition, there is always the chance that environmental toxins, and inadvertent food allergies could cause another acne cycle.

Examples of homeopathic acne solutions include

detox diets of all kinds

fasting

juicing fruits and vegetables

colonics

increasing fiber in the daily diet

saunas

physical exercise

meditation

deep breathing

yoga

stress reduction

and more.

Popular homeopathic acne treatment herbs include basil, oregano, garlic, ginger, turmeric, almost anything bitter and pungent in taste will have antibacterial qualities…even salad greens like arugula can be included in the mix.
The most important thing to remember is to freely experiment with what feels right for you and you’ll begin to start seeing benefits within a few days to a week.

Acnezine Review – A Full Lay Out Of This Product And Other Options

As with all of my reviews, this Acnezine review is not going to tell you that this is indeed the product for you absolutely and without question. It just doesn’t work that way, some products are better for others and it’s up to you to decide what might work best for you. In addition to reviewing Acnezine and its strengths as a product we’re also going to go into a few other products that are somewhat similar in nature and also an occasionally recommended antibiotic that I believe has serious side effects and should be avoided at all costs.

Having bad acne is one of the worst things in the world, and it causes people to occasionally take drastic measures in order to solve the problem. Oftentimes people turn to dermatologists, and in the most severe cases of acne a dermatologist made try to prescribe you a product called Accutane. This is the one conventional medical product that I recommend people never ever use. It has serious side effects which are well documented. Alright, that’s enough about that, but I want people to be aware of the dangers of that route.

Now, Acnezine on the other hand works with your body to eliminate your acne and it does so with a two-step system which includes a topical crème and a dietary supplement. The topical crème contains your moisturizer and acne fighter in one product, some other systems will separate the two.

The acne fighter is benzoyl peroxide based and the moisturizer contains a lot of natural ingredients like citrus, aloe, and green tea extracts. I found the product to be just about as effect as a three step system and for the price of around $30 you won’t find a better product.

Sometimes we can’t afford more expensive systems like you may find places on the internet or in department stores, and that’s alright because this system is solid. It won’t over dry your skin like over the counter products will.

Speaking of more expensive products, there is a line of more expensive products which is really outstanding called Zenmed, it’s a whole line of products for different skin types. But, again these products cost a good bit more money and may be out of the price range of a lot of folks. I simply mention it as another good option. Another might be Clearpores.
Acnezine stacks up well against products like Proactiv, I feel, because of the added dietary supplement. I find that fighting acne has as much to do with what we put inside our bodies as what we put on our skin.

In addition to taking the dietary supplement, I recommend cleaning up your diet, eliminating junk food, adding a good bit of fiber, and eating more fresh produce. A lot of people may not believe it, but this is very important to fighting blemishes. If our insides are unbalanced it will create a much bigger imbalance on our skin. Drinking a lot of pure water is also very helpful. Hitting your problem from a lot of different angles will give you the best results, as I have always maintained.

I truly hope this Acnezine review has given you a better understanding of this product and why it’s a good acne fighting option, especially if you’re on a budget.

A Treasure Trove Of Healing Herbs – Remove Toxins & Regain Your Balance Naturally

Before there was modern medicine, people lived a lot closer to nature. They extracted natural herbal medicines from field and forests around them. And while, modern medicine may have technological miracles that no herb will ever match…herbs have healing properties that no drug can ever match.

It’s kind of like comparing apples to oranges really. Conventional medicine is excellent in treating life threatening conditions, of this there is no doubt. An herb cannot cut a person open and put a stent in their heart. However, a surgeon can’t go inside the blood vessels without any incision and slowly and gently peel away layers of plaque build-up either.

Don’t underestimate the power of herbs for acne, many times herbs can succeed where tradition medicine has failed. Not to mention healing your acne with herbs is a wonderful place to start your treatment because it’s inexpensive, quick and easy.

While pills and capsules are convenient, it’s almost always better to go with fresh herbs when you can. One herb that has been noted for its amazing property of healing acne is the simple basil leaf.

Basil is fairly inexpensive and you can pick it up at just about any grocery store. Throw it on top of a tomato slice and hunk of mozzarella cheese and it’s absolutely delicious too. But, you’re going to need more than a couple of basil leaves to achieve a therapeutic value.

Here’s a great idea. Take a bunch or two of basil and make a healthy pesto sauce; it’s simple, all you need is basil, garlic, olive oil, pine nuts, salt, and pepper…toss them in the food processor, hit chop, and you’re done.

Now, eat two tablespoons of the pesto mixture daily until you see a result, if you don’t see a result add a third tablespoon. The chances are very good that you will see a result in your skin within a week, with less redness, less oil, and less breakouts.

A lot of folks have been led to believe that there are some magical Chinese herbs that are the secret cure for acne. Well, while the Chinese herbal system is quite amazing that’s just not true at all. Many common herbs that you can kind in any grocery store are potent acne fighters.

If fact any leafy green vegetable can be considered an herbal acne remedy, however, the most important are the kind that contain antibacterial qualities…and these are generally slightly bitter. Basil is one herbal remedy; cilantro, kale, spinach, mustard greens, dandelion, and arugula are other similar ones. Yes, these are things you might find in an ordinary salad…but they have powerful acne curing properties to be sure.

Other herbal remedies include garlic, onions, ginger, horseradish, prickly ash, rosemary, and oregano. These types of herbal plants are antibacterial and antifungal and will help to balance intestinal flora by killing harmful bacteria and encouraging the growth of good bacteria, they also promote faster elimination of acne causing toxins.

There are so many herbs for acne that you can use to your benefit, just remember that anything that decreases inflammation, increases detoxification, and encourages proper intestinal health can be used as an herbal treatment for acne.

Practical Tips & Guidelines for Creating an Acne Treatment Plan That Works

There are many viable treatments for acne out there, so take heart. There are traditional over the counter products, which work well for those people that have the mildest form of acne. And then there are much more powerful medications, pills, and creams, as well as scores of herbs and homeopathic remedies that have given relief to thousands.

It’s best to educate yourself on all the possibilities that are available to you and then begin a treatment plan that you feel is right for you. Let’s examine traditional over the counter creams first, as this is a great first step.

For those with mild acne, the kind that only rears its ugly head once in a great while, a perfect cure for pimples is probably as easy as going to the drugstore and picking up some benzoyl peroxide and perhaps an alcohol free toner along with a mild cleanser. Give the products a whirl, and within a few days you will most likely have discovered the only acne cure you’ll ever need.

In order to cure acne for others with more severe forms of the acne condition it may be best to consult a dermatologist. They will most likely prescribe an antibiotic and a topical cream that is superior to anything that you can get over the counter. The most common antibiotic prescribed by dermatologists goes by the pharmaceutical name of Tetracycline. It’s often very effective in killing off pathogenic bacteria in the digestive tract and on the skin, and in conjunction with the topical cream can be a serious one-two-punch.
However, many natural practitioners and homeopaths see a danger there.

Over use of antibiotics can often cause these “bad” bacteria to actually multiply, or cause systemic infections like candidiasis. A Homeopath’s methods to cure zits are based on natural medicine and focus on removing “heat” or inflammation from the body. These methods, while scoffed at by some, have offered incredible relief to many acne suffers and are certainly worth a sincere try. In fact, almost all of these natural acne treatments not only treat the condition but also improve health.

There are so many homeopathic remedies for treating acne that it would be impossible to list them all here. However, it’s most important to remember two major ideas, one is the removal of inflammation from the body, and the second is the removal of toxins.

Toxins can be a particular foods that the patient is allergic to, like wheat or dairy, it could be too much refined sugar, or perhaps alcohol. In all seriousness it could be any number of things. It’s important to isolate the contributing factors and eliminate them. This will decrease inflammation and allow the body to re-balance itself enough to begin being able to eliminate excess toxins. The overall effect is a huge reduction in pimples.

It’s important to explore all of your avenues in your quest for the ultimate cure for pimples. Leave no stone unturned. There is great amount of incredibly effective information online about natural acne treatments (and others) that really work, more and more is learned about treatment every day.

Home remedies for acne are often the safest, least expensive, and most effective treatments. Having acne can be seriously debilitating. It not only emotionally cripples you; it can also lead to depression, anxiety, and general unhappiness. Due to this, there are numerous medications and remedies on sale. However, it is difficult to find one that gives the results you seek and does not pose a risk to your health. Furthermore, they can be expensive while still being ineffective. So before you rush out and clear a pharmacy shelf consider these simple and inexpensive home remedies for acne. Here are five home remedies for acne that will help you get rid of acne for good with a minimum of effort.

Home Remedies For Acne #1

Zap your zits with tea tree oil creams. An herbal product from Australia, tea tree oil has a major advantage over the more expensive washes and creams made with benzoyl peroxide:
While benzoyl peroxide can leave behind tiny flakes of skin that keep the cycle of whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples going, tea tree oil kills the bacteria that cause acne without creating new pimples.

Tea tree oil takes a day or two longer to remove redness and inflammation than benzoyl peroxide, but it keeps acne infection away for good. Tea tree oil is also useful for treating “pimples” with yellow tops that are really staph infections. This is something benzoyl peroxide cannot do. The best way to use tea tree oil is as a 15% cream, applied to clean skin twice a day.

Home Remedies For Acne #2

Use honey to stop inflammation and kill infection. Used as a skincare treatment for centuries, honey has been studied in over 200 clinical trials since 1990. Scientists now know that a protein in royal jelly activate keratinocytes. These are the skin cells that recycle the tough outer layer of the skin that can trap oil inside pores. Proteins in honey encourage the dissolution of keratin over whiteheads so that they never become blackheads or pimple. Apply honey as thinly as you can over clean skin and allow to dry for 15 minutes, then wash off with warm water and pat dry. A honey mask once or twice a week is a very useful addition to your acne skin care routine.

Home Remedies For Acne #3

Drink green tea to reduce skin sensitivity to hormonal changes. Acne is generally associated with spikes in the bloodstream concentration of the hormone testosterone, a sex hormone that occurs in both men and women. Testosterone levels are relatively high in male and female adolescents, after testosterone replacement therapy, and in women going through menopause or who suffer polycystic ovary disease. Green tea catechins keep skin from growing over pores and trapping sebum and bacteria inside. Drink 2-3 cups of green tea daily, or take 150 to 500 mg of green tea catechin supplements daily.

Home Remedies For Acne #4

For women who have monthly outbreaks of acne timed to their menstrual cycle, consider taking chasteberry extracts or capsules. Like green tea, chasteberry is anti-androgenic, that is, it reduces the effects of testosterone in the skin. Women who suffer premenstrual acne usually find that taking chasteberry reduces acne after two or three menstrual cycles. The herb acts much more quickly in men. Women who are pregnant should not take chasteberry. The herb may interact with treatments for quitting smoking, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease, and depression.

Home Remedies For Acne #5

Think zinc. About a third of people who have acne also have a deficiency in zinc. Taking supplemental zinc activates the white blood cells known as neutrophils to attack acne-causing bacteria. It’s easy to determine whether zinc deficiency is a problem for your skin. Put a zinc tablet on your tongue, and then swallow. If there is a metallic aftertaste, you are probably zinc deficient. If there is no aftertaste, you are probably not zinc deficient. Always take supplements that provide both zinc and copper, and limit intake to 30 mg a day. When your zinc supplement starts tasting bad, you don’t need it anymore.

In addition to these simple home remedies that treat acne directly, lemon juice is useful for exfoliating and rejuvenating the skin. Gently rub the juice you have squeezed from one lemon over acne-affected skin and allow to dry for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water, and then pat the skin dry with a clean towel. This lemon juice “facial peel” removes dead skin that can block pores.

Severe Acne Treatment in Six Simple Steps

Medically directed severe acne treatment usually involves the pharmaceutical heavy artillery of Accutane and Retin-A. These chemical concentrates of vitamin A can open deep pores that cannot be drained any other way short of surgery. The medications are dangerous and they inflame surrounding skin, but for many people they are the only way to begin severe acne treatment.

The important question in severe acne treatment after Accutane and Retina-A is, “What next?” Accutane and Retin-A stop severe acne, but they don’t prevent it from coming back. Getting rid of severe acne for good requires six simple -and much less expensive- steps.

Severe Acne Treatment Step #1

Be sure to get seven hours of sleep every night. What does sleep have to do with acne? During deep sleep, the body recycles the hormones that make the central nervous system sensitive to pain. Lower levels of pain hormones, in turn, keep skin from tensing around pores and blocking them once again.

Severe Acne Treatment Step #2

Wash your skin with warm water. Hot water can feel good on skin affected by severe acne. Unfortunately, hot water makes skin flake, and the flakes can block pores. Cold water traps oil and infection inside pores. Simply washing your skin with warm, not hold cold water, and limiting to hot showers to no more than 5 minutes, can go a long way toward keeping your skin acne-free.

Severe Acne Treatment Step #3

Pat your skin dry. Never rub your skin dry, and always use a clean towel. Rubbing the skin damages the delicate walls of skin pores. Dirty towels can reinfect the skin.

Severe Acne Treatment Step #4

Keep your skin moist. When skin is affected by severe acne, no amount of moisture reaches deep enough into the skin to do any good. Once severe acne has begun to clear, however, any kind of moisture helps keep pores open so that acne does not recur.

It’s not even necessary to buy a skin care product to moisturize the face. Running a vaporizer or humidifier is often enough to keep the skin moist. If you use a moisturizer, you want to avoid any products containing cholesterol, glycerin, or triglycerides, which can add too much oil back to the skin. And don’t forget to drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water every day.

Severe Acne Treatment Step #5

Stop new infections as soon as they start. Whenever you see a red pimple, treat it right away. You can use benzoyl peroxide creams and foams, but be forewarned that they perpetuate acne unless you exfoliate (step 6, below) your skin on a regular basis to keep the skin they dry out from blocking pores. A superior choice is tea tree oil cream, in any concentration from 5 to 15%. Tea tree oil takes a little longer than benzoyl peroxide to “get the red out,” but it does not dry out the skin, and it kills both the acne bacteria that benzoyl peroxide kills and the staph bacteria that it doesn’t. Especially if you see a new pimple with a yellow center, tea tree oil is usually a better choice.

Severe Acne Treatment Step #6

Exfoliate on a regular basis. Exfoliation is a (usually) gentle process of removing dead skin that blocks pores. When you use products containing alpha-hydroxy acids, exfoliation also stimulates circulation to the skin that provides nutrients, removes inflammatory chemicals, and fights infection.

Blue light therapy for acne has been around for quite some time and it has been proven to be highly effective in treating acne. The problem has always been that at home treatments with blue light therapy didn’t really exist. In order to get light therapy you had to see a dermatologist and the costs were really high.

And, in addition to the costs being high, these costs were not covered by most insurance plans like other trips to the skin doctor usually are. At $100 to $200 dollars per visit, with multiple visits required, the costs added up fast. But, nowadays there have been a few revolutions in the industry, making at home light therapy units completely cost effective and very popular. The Blue MD Acne Light is just such a product.

Now you can safely and gently clear up your skin at home with a product that costs around two hundred and fifty dollars total. (You may be able to find it for less, but not much less, all the online stores that I searched had pretty much the same pricing.) So, basically, for about the cost of one light therapy session at the dermatologist you can buy your own at home acne treatment light. Needless to say people are quite happy about that fact.

Please don’t confuse this with laser acne treatment, as far as I am aware lasers cannot be used in the privacy of your own home for acne treatment, and I would imagine it might be quite dangerous.

On the other hand, the Blue MD Acne Light is not dangerous at all and all it takes is three treatments per week to begin clearing your skin up. Each treatment should last about twenty minutes and again it’s completely safe and painless.

This device works by slowly killing the bacteria on the skin, the ones which cause acne. How it works exactly is beyond me but it is an FDA approved treatment which should make everyone feel a lot more at ease about using one. That’s how it made me feel. The sensation of using the device are almost non-existent to be honest, you can feel a little heat but that’s about it.

What the manufacturers of Blue MD don’t really say is that you also have to take good care of your skin. You can’t just use the machine and everything will clear up no matter what. It’s not that easy. You have to think of this therapy as an add on, a very powerful add on therapy. In other words, you still have to wash your face with a good cleanser, and you should work on improving your diet as well.

I found I got the best results when I used the Blue MD regularly, followed a healthy diet, washed my face each morning and evening, and wore a night mask to clear up the last few remaining pimples. It’s really that easy. It doesn’t really take a lot more time out of your schedule to use it and see a lot better results from your acne regimen.

Using blue light therapy for acne gives us one more powerful tool in the fight against acne; if you haven’t been totally satisfied with the products that you’ve been using adding this final knock-out blow could be the answer you’re looking for.
